Your Family Needs a Vacation

Between the still depressing economy, the possible swine flu pandemic, and the new cyberweapons race, I’m feeling the need for a vacation.

About this time of year families like us, who are a little behind the eight-ball, start thinking about summer travel.  (Smarter and better organized families have booked by February/March.)  Even though vacationing may seem like a luxury this year, I think it’s critical for the whole family to take some down time together.  I’ve compiled a few good family vacation links below:

Some great “travel with kids” blogs:

  1. Hi. I run a ‘google alert’ for the phrase ‘family camps’ and I was directed to your blog.

I’m the director of a Family Camp in Maine and I also write a professional blog with the goal of trying to clarify for families the confusing family camp options out there. Give it a read and if you think it would be helpful to your readers, send them my way.

If you go down to the bottom of the page, my last post, you will see my ‘disclosure’ statement where I explain why I am posting this information the web. As a Director, I field calls from families and often times I steer them in the direction of another camp simply because while there is a lot of information out there, it isn’t categorized very well and thus confusing.

Anyhow, I like your blog and thanks for considering mine.
